Wheels and Tires

My original choice for tires and wheels were American Racing Torque-Thrust II's with 255/50R16 Dunlop SP8000 Tires. I chose the Dunlops because they were the lowest treadwear rating tires I could find without moving to a Street/Drag Radial. Of course the lower the treadwear number, the stickier the tire will be, but will wear faster. The wheels are 16x8 with a backspacing of 4.75".

If you seen the pictures of my 1968 Chevelle, in the All about Jeff link, you were probably noticed the wheels. I did swap the wheels and tires from my '72 and put them on he '68. That is how the car was sold, I needed to get more wheels and tires for my '72.

This time around I chose wheels from Boyd Coddington and tires from Nitto. Here are some pictures.
